Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated ActsThe Governor-General may make regulations, not inconsistent with this Act, prescribing all matters required or permitted to be prescribed, or which are necessary or convenient to be prescribed, for carrying out or giving effect to this Act, and in particular:
(a) for conferring on the Treasurer and officers of the Commonwealth, powers of requiring returns and production of documents; and
(b) for prescribing penalties, not exceeding in any case Two hundred dollars or imprisonment for six months, for any contravention of the regulations.
