Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated ActsThe Governor-General may make regulations, not inconsistent with this Act, prescribing all matters which by this Act are required or permitted to be prescribed, or which are necessary or convenient to be prescribed for carrying out or giving effect to this Act, and, in particular, for prescribing:
(a) the fees and allowances payable to members of a committee established under this Act, other than members who are officers of the Public Service of the Commonwealth or of a State; and
(b) penalties not exceeding a fine of $2,000 for offences against the regulations.
