Australian Capital Territory Consolidated Acts Australian Capital Territory Consolidated Acts(1) The chief officer (fire and rescue) and the chief officer (rural fire service) are inspectors for this Act.
(2) The chief officer (fire and rescue) may appoint a member of fire and rescue as an inspector for this Act.
(3) The chief officer (rural fire service) may appoint a member of the rural fire service as an inspector for this Act.
Note 1 For the making of appointments (including acting appointments), see the Legislation Act, pt 19.3.
Note 2 In particular, a person may be appointed for a particular provision of a law (see Legislation Act, s 7 (3)) and an appointment may be made by naming a person or nominating the occupant of a position (see s 207).
