Australian Capital Territory Consolidated Acts Australian Capital Territory Consolidated Acts(1) The purported assignment or subletting of premises in contravention of the standard residential tenancy terms is unenforceable and a person to whom premises are so assigned or sublet resides in the premises as a licensee only.
(2) Subsection (1) does not apply to the assignment or subletting of premises in accordance with a term of the residential tenancy agreement endorsed by the ACAT.
