Australian Capital Territory Consolidated Acts Australian Capital Territory Consolidated Acts(1) Subject to subsection (2), where the commissioner grants an application for a licence, he or she shall issue to the applicant a licence to carry on the business of a dealer.
(2) Before issuing a licence to a person who proposes to carry on the business of a dealer or a car market operator, the commissioner shall specify in the licence the address of the premises where the dealer or operator may carry on that business.
(3) A licence shall be granted for 12 months or for the shorter period specified in the application or the commissioner allows.
