ANIMAL WELFARE ACT 1992 - SECT 6C

    (1)     A person in charge of an animal commits an offence if—

        (a)     the person keeps the animal on premises; and

        (b)     at any time when the animal is on the premises, the animal does not have access to water or shelter.

Maximum penalty: 25 penalty units.

    (2)     An offence against this section is a strict liability offence.
