Australian Capital Territory Current Acts Australian Capital Territory Current Acts(1) As soon as practicable after receiving an application under section 61J , the council must assess the application and decide whether or not to approve the conservation management plan.
(2) A conservation management plan may be approved with conditions.
(3) The council must approve the conservation management plan, if satisfied on reasonable grounds—
(a) that the plan ensures the conservation and responsible management of the place or object, or Aboriginal place or Aboriginal object, to which the plan relates; and
(b) about any other matter prescribed by regulation.
(4) The council must give the
applicant written notice about a decision under subsection (1), including any
conditions associated with its approval, as far as practicable within 15
working days after the decision.
