MOTOR TRAFFIC REGULATIONS(AMENDMENT) (NO. 17 OF 1992) - TABLE OF PROVISIONS 1. Commencement 2. In these Regulations, "Principal Regulations" means the Motor Traffic Regulations. 3. The Schedule to the Principal Regulations is amended-- 4. The Principal Regulations are amended as set out in the Schedule. SCHEDULE MOTOR TRAFFIC REGULATIONS(AMENDMENT) (NO. 17 OF 1992) - REG 1 Commencement 1. (1) Subject to subregulations (2) and (3) these Regulations commence on the day on which these Regulations are notified in the Gazette. (2) Paragraph 3 (a) commences on the day on which section 6 of the Motor Traffic (Amendment) Act (No. 2) 1992 commences. (3) Paragraph 3 (c) commences on the day on which sections 12 and 14 of the Motor Traffic (Amendment) Act (No. 2) 1992 commence. Principal Regulations MOTOR TRAFFIC REGULATIONS(AMENDMENT) (NO. 17 OF 1992) - REG 2 2. In these Regulations, "Principal Regulations" means the Motor Traffic Regulations. Schedule--Part I MOTOR TRAFFIC REGULATIONS(AMENDMENT) (NO. 17 OF 1992) - REG 3 3. The Schedule to the Principal Regulations is amended-- (a) by inserting after the item relating to section 122 in Part I the following item: "Section 123A failing to give way when emerging from a slip lane $105"; (b) by omitting from column 2 in the item relating to subsection 128E (2) in Part I "RIGHT" and substituting "LEFT"; and (c) by omitting the items relating to subsections 164D (1), (2), (3) and (3A) in Part I and substituting the following items-- "Paragraph 164D (a) driving a motor vehicle in which a child is not restrained by a child restraint $75 Paragraph 164D (b) driving a motor vehicle in which a young person, or a child who is not restrained by a child restraint, is not restrained by a seat belt $75 Subparagraph 164D (c) (i) driving a motor vehicle in which a child occupies a position abreast of the driving position, being a position that is equipped with a child restraint, while there is an unoccupied position to the rear that is, or that could be, equipped with a child restraint $75 Subparagraph 164D (c) (ii) driving a motor vehicle in which a child occupies a position abreast of the driving position, being a position that is not equipped with a child restraint but is equipped with a seat belt, while there is an unoccupied position to the rear equipped with a child restraint or seat belt $75 Subparagraph 164D (c) (iii) driving a motor vehicle in which a child occupies a position abreast of the driving position, being a position that is equipped with neither a child restraint nor a seat belt, while there is an unoccupied position to the rear $75".
