2.   Regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting "the Schedule" and substituting "Schedule 1".  
3.   After regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations the following regulation is inserted:

Principal Regulations

1.  In these Regulations, "Principal Regulations" means the Vocational Training Regulations.

2.  Regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting "the Schedule" and substituting "Schedule 1".
 Insertion

3.  After regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations the following regulation is inserted:
 Declared vocations
"3A.  A vocation specified in Schedule 2 is a declared
vocation for the purposes of the definition of "declared vocation"
in subsection 6 (1) of the Act.".

4.  The Schedule to the Principal Regulations is amended--
     (a)     by omitting "Schedule" and substituting
"Schedule 1"; and
     (b)     by inserting--
               (i)     after the heading--
          "Metal Fitting and machining trades"
the following item:
"1A.  Engineering tradesperson--mechanical";
               (ii)     after item 4 the following item:
"4A.  Engineering tradesperson--fabrication";
and
               (iii)     after item 12 the following item:
"12A.  Engineering
tradesperson--electrical/electronic".

5.  The Principal Regulations are amended by adding at the end the following Schedule:

DECLARED VOCATIONS
Any of the following traineeships under the Australian Traineeship
System:
Public Service Sector--office administration
Public Service Sector--office technology
Private Sector--office procedures
banking
gardening assistant
hospitality--waiting
automotive tyre--servicing and sales
retail operation sales
automotive spare parts
