Supreme Court Amendment Rules 2003 (No 1)

The resident Judges of the Court (of whom there are currently four, including the Chief Justice) or any two of the resident Judges, may make Rules of Court regulating the practice and procedure of the Court pursuant to section 36 of the Supreme Court Act 1933.

A number of provisions contained in the Civil Law (Wrongs) Act 2002 which altered some procedures for claims under the Act commenced on 1 November 2002. These rules are consequential on the Civil Law (Wrongs) Act 2002 and give effect to the procedures provided for in that Act by amending Order 2 rule 6, Order 26 and Order 61 rule 3, as well as providing appropriate forms.
