MOTOR TRAFFIC ACT 1936 (REPEALED) - SECT 180WA

Effect of cancellation of probationary licence

(1)     Where a probationary licence is cancelled under this Part, the person who had been the licensee is disqualified from holding—

        (a)     a driving licence; or

        (b)     a learner licence receipt;

for a period of 6 months.

(2)     Where a probationary licence is cancelled under this Part, the person who had been the licensee shall not, during the period of 6 months immediately following the cancellation—

        (a)     obtain a driving licence;

        (b)     obtain a learner licence receipt; or

        (c)     drive a motor vehicle on a public street.

Penalty: 100 penalty units or imprisonment for 12 months, or both.
