Bill for an Act to amend the Australian Capital
Territory Government Service (Consequential Provisions) Act 1994, and for
related purposes
The Parliament of Australia enacts:
This Act may be cited as the Australian Capital Territory Government
Service (Consequential Provisions) Amendment Act 1996.
This Act commences on the day on which it receives the Royal
Assent.
Each Act that is specified in a Schedule to
this Act is amended or repealed in accordance with the applicable item in the
Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this Act has effect
according to its terms.
1 At the end of section 27
Add:
(3) The Governor-General may make regulations providing for modifications
of this Act or any other Act in its application in relation to any matter
arising from or connected with, or consequential on, an ACT officer becoming an
employee by or under a law of the Territory of a body corporate controlled by
the Territory before, on or after the commencement of this subsection.
(4) Regulations may not be made under subsection (3) after 30 June
1998.
(5) In this section:
Territory means the Australian Capital Territory.
