The Parliament of Australia enacts:

1 Short title

This Act may be cited as the Higher Education Support

Amendment (Savings and Other Measures) Act 2013.

2 Commencement

(1) Each provision of this Act specified in column 1 of the table

commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with
9
column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect
10
according to its terms.

(1) Before an amount referred to in item 1 of the table in

subsection 198-5(1) is indexed on 1 January 2014, the amount is to

be multiplied by 0.98.

subsection 198-5(1) is indexed on 1 January 2015, the amount is to
11
be multiplied by 0.9875.

(3) If the

indexation factor for 2015 is 1 or less, an amount mentioned
