Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) The Governor-General may make regulations, not inconsistent with this Act, prescribing all matters which by this Act are required or permitted to be prescribed, or which are necessary or convenient to be prescribed for carrying out or giving effect to this Act, and in particular:
(a) for prescribing the time within which an election under this Act may be made;
(b) for prescribing the manner in which the accounts of the Fund shall be kept; and
(c) for prescribing penalties for offences against the regulations, but so that no prescribed penalty shall exceed a fine of $100.
(2) Where the pay of any class of members is increased or reduced, regulations for the purpose of the definition of daily rate of pay in subsection 4(1) in relation to members included within that class made after the date on and from which the increase or reduction took effect may be expressed to have taken effect from and including that date.
