INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS (CONSEQUENTIAL PROVISIONS) ACT 1988 - SECT 79
Abolition of Australian Industrial Court
- (1)
- Despite the repeal of the Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1904 , the
Australian Industrial Court is taken to continue in existence until
31 August 1998 as if that Act had not been repealed.
- (2)
- At the end of
that day, the Australian Industrial Court ceases to exist.
Note: The last
remaining judge of the Australian Industrial Court resigned on 31 August
1998.
