(a) Subsections 2(2) and (6) of the Qantas Sale Act 1992 provide as follows:
(2) Subject to subsection (3), the remaining provisions of this Act commence on a day or days to be fixed by Proclamation.
(6) If a provision of this Act has not commenced before 31 August 1995, the provision is taken to have been repealed on that day.
Section 25 and Schedule (Parts 3, 6, 7) of the Qantas Sale Act 1992 are taken to have been repealed on 31 August 1995.
(b) The Qantas Sale Act 1992 was amended by the Schedule (items 70 and 71) only of the Transport and Communications Legislation Amendment Act (No. 2) 1993, subsection 2(1) of which provides as follows:
(1) Subject to subsections (2) to (10) (inclusive), this Act commences on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.
(c) Subsections 2(2)-(9) of the Qantas Sale Amendment Act 1994 provides as follows:
(2) Items 7 and 18 of the Schedule commence immediately after the commencement of section 27 of the Qantas Sale Act 1992.
(3) Item 8 of the Schedule commences immediately after the commencement of section 45 of the Qantas Sale Act 1992.
(4) Item 9 of the Schedule commences immediately after the commencement of section 48 of the Qantas Sale Act 1992.
(5) Item 10 of the Schedule commences immediately after the commencement of Part 3 of the Schedule to the Qantas Sale Act 1992.
(6) Item 11 of the Schedule commences immediately after the commencement of Part 6 of the Schedule to the Qantas Sale Act 1992.
(7) Items 13, 14 and 15 of the Schedule commence immediately after the commencement of section 26 of the Qantas Sale Act 1992.
(8) Item 16 of the Schedule commences immediately after the commencement of section 32 of the Qantas Sale Act 1992.
(9) Items 19 and 20 of the Schedule commence immediately after the commencement of Part 5 of the Schedule to the Qantas Sale Act 1992.
Sections 26, 27, 32, 45 and 48 of the Qantas Sale Act 1992 commenced on 30 July 1995 (see Gazette 1995, No. S324).
Parts 3 and 6 of the Schedule to the Qantas Sale Act 1992 are taken to have been repealed on 31 August 1995.
Part 5 of the Schedule to the Qantas Sale Act 1992 commenced on 30 August 1995 (see Gazette 1995, No. S324).
(d) The Qantas Sale Act 1992 was amended by Schedule 8 only of the Superannuation Legislation Amendment Act (No. 1) 1995, subsection 2(1) of which provides as follows:
(1) Subject to this section, this Act commences on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.
(e) The Qantas Sale Act 1992 was amended by Schedule 2 (item 1143) only of the Audit (Transitional and Miscellaneous) Amendment Act 1997, subsection 2(2) of which provides as follows:
(2) Schedules 1, 2 and 4 commence on the same day as the Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997.
(f) The Qantas Sale Act 1992 was amended by Schedule 1 (items 755-759) only of the Public Employment (Consequential and Transitional) Amendment Act 1999, subsections 2(1) and (2) of which provide as follows:
(1) In this Act, commencing time means the time when the Public Service Act 1999 commences.
(2) Subject to this section, this Act commences at the commencing time.
(g) The Qantas Sale Act 1992 was amended by Schedule 5 (items 26 and 27) only of the Corporate Law Economic Reform Program Act 1999, subsection 2(2)(b) of which provides as follows:
(2) The following provisions commence on a day or days to be fixed by Proclamation:
(b) the items in Schedules 1 to 7 (other than item 18 of Schedule 7);
(h) The Qantas Sale Act 1992 was amended by Schedule 3 (items 444-457) only of the Corporations (Repeals, Consequentials and Transitionals) Act 2001, subsection 2(3) of which provides as follows:
(3) Subject to subsections (4) to (10), Schedule 3 commences, or is taken to have commenced, at the same time as the Corporations Act 2001.

10 Saving--appointments
The amendments made by Schedule 2 do not affect the validity of an appointment that was made under an Act before the commencement of this item and that was in force immediately before that commencement.
11 Transitional regulations
The Governor-General may make regulations prescribing matters of a transitional nature (including prescribing any saving or application provisions) relating to the amendments and repeals made by Schedules 1 and 2.
