ANTI-MONEY LAUNDERING AND COUNTER-TERRORISM FINANCING ACT 2006 - SECT 149

Tampering or interfering with things secured in the exercise of monitoring powers

                   A person commits an offence if:

                     (a)  a thing has been secured by an authorised officer in the exercise of the monitoring powers set out in section 148; and

                     (b)  the person tampers or interferes with the thing.

Penalty:  Imprisonment for 6 months or 30 penalty units, or both.
