- LONG TITLE

An Act to impose a charge on the registration of certain
importers and manufacturers of certain industrial chemicals, so far as that
charge is a duty of customs

- SECT 1   Short title [see Note 1] 

 
        This Act may be cited as the Industrial Chemicals (Registration
Charge--Customs) Act 1997.

INDUSTRIAL CHEMICALS (REGISTRATION CHARGE--CUSTOMS) ACT 1997
- SECT 2   Commencement [see Note 1] 

 
        This Act commences on the commencement of Part 3A of the Industrial
Chemicals (Notification and Assessment) Act 1989.

INDUSTRIAL CHEMICALS (REGISTRATION CHARGE--CUSTOMS) ACT 1997
- SECT 3   Imposition of charge 

 
(1)  Registration charge payable in accordance with section 80S of the
Industrial Chemicals (Notification and Assessment) Act 1989 is
imposed.
(2)  This section imposes charge only so far as that charge is a duty of
customs within the meaning of section 55 of the Constitution.
