1. Amendment


  1.1 The Bankruptcy Rules are amended as set out in these Rules.
(NOTE:  These Rules commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901,
s.48.)

2. Rule 27 (Notice of bankruptcy)


  2.1 Subrule 27 (3):
  Omit the subrule, substitute:
  "(3) The trustee must, within 28 days after the day on which a person
becomes bankrupt, or within any longer period that the Registrar allows after
an application by the trustee:
  (a) give a notice, stating the occurrence of the bankruptcy, to each of the
bankrupt's creditors; and
  (b) if the bankrupt has lodged a statement of affairs-give a summary of the
statement of affairs to each of the bankrupt's creditors.".

3. Rule 45J (Procedure for hearing application for permission to
leave Australia)


  3.1 Subrule 45J (4):
  Omit the subrule.

4. Rule 57 (Application for annulment under section 153B or 252B of the Act)


  4.1 Subrule 57 (3):
  Omit the subrule, substitute:
  "(3) If an application for an order annulling a bankruptcy is served on the
trustee, the trustee must file a report, not later than 10 days before the
hearing date of the application, about the bankrupt's conduct, and examinable
affairs, in both the period before and the period after the bankruptcy
occurred.".

5. Rule 161B (Official Receiver's charges and fees)


  5.1 Paragraphs 161B (1) (a) and (2) (a):
  Omit "Level 1", substitute "Band 1".
