Prescribed amounts-section 6 of the Act SCHEDULE 1993 No. 30 IMMIGRATION (EDUCATION) CHARGE REGULATIONS - REG 1 Citation 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Immigration (Education) Charge Regulations. 1993 No. 30 IMMIGRATION (EDUCATION) CHARGE REGULATIONS - REG 2 Commencement 2. These Regulations commence on 1 March 1993. 1993 No. 30 IMMIGRATION (EDUCATION) CHARGE REGULATIONS - REG 3 Interpretation 3. (1) In these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears: "the Act" means the Immigration (Education) Charge Act 1992. (2) In these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears, an expression defined for the purposes of the Migration (1993) Regulations has the same meaning as in those Regulations. 1993 No. 30 IMMIGRATION (EDUCATION) CHARGE REGULATIONS - REG 4 Prescribed entry permits-definition of "exempt entry permit" 4. For the purposes of the definition of "exempt entry permit" in subsection 3 (2) of the Act, the following entry permits are prescribed: (a) the following Group 1.2 (permanent resident (after entry)) entry permits: (i) a Class 800 (territorial asylum) entry permit; (ii) a Class 805 (skilled occupation) entry permit; (iii) a Class 806 (family and other close ties (after entry)) entry permit; (iv) a Class 808 (confirmatory) entry permit; (v) a Class 810 (refugee (permanent)) entry permit; (vi) a Class 812 (December 1989 (permanent)) entry permit; (vii) a Class 814 (interdependency (permanent)) entry permit; (b) permanent entry permits for which application is made at an Entry Control Point by presentation of a travel-only visa in accordance with paragraph 2.28 (1) (b) of the Migration (1993) Regulations. 1993 No. 30 IMMIGRATION (EDUCATION) CHARGE REGULATIONS - REG 5 Prescribed visas-definition of "exempt visa" 5. For the purposes of the definition of "exempt visa" in subsection 3 (2) of the Act, the following visas are prescribed: (a) Group 1.1 (migrant) visas of the following classes: (i) a Class 102 (adoption) visa; (ii) a Class 103 (parent) visa; (iii) a Class 104 (preferential family) visa; (iv) a Class 431 (restricted passport) visa, unless the application for the Group 1.1 visa constituting the Class 431 (restricted passport) visa application is for a Group 1.1 visa that is not an exempt visa; (b) all Group 1.4 (resident return (permanent entry)) visas. 1993 No. 30 IMMIGRATION (EDUCATION) CHARGE REGULATIONS - REG 6 Prescribed amounts-section 6 of the Act 6.
