1. Commencement


  1.1 These Regulations commence on 1 July 1998, immediately after 
regulation 4 of Statutory Rules 1997 No. 164 commences.

2. Amendment


  2.1 The Laying Chicken Levy Regulations are amended as set out in 
these Regulations.

3. Regulation 3 (Prescribed rates of levy)


  3.1 Add at the end of the regulation:
  "(2) For paragraph 7 (b) of the Act, 0.27 cents is prescribed.".
Note The second Note that followed regulation 3 of the Laying Chicken 
Levy Regulations should be omitted, and the following Note substituted 
after subregulation 3 (2):
  "Note The levy mentioned in subregulation (2) is to fund the 
Australian Animal Health Council Limited.".
