These Regulations may be cited as the Telecommunications (Applications and Fees) Regulations. (NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48) 1991 No. 359 TELECOMMUNICATIONS (APPLICATIONS AND FEES) REGULATIONS - REG 2 Interpretation 2. In these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears: "Act" means the Telecommunications Act 1991; "capital city" means Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Hobart or Darwin. 1991 No. 359 TELECOMMUNICATIONS (APPLICATIONS AND FEES) REGULATIONS - REG 3 Fees for eligible applications 3. For the purpose of fixing fees under subsection 4 (1) of the Telecommunications (Application Fees) Act 1991, the fee for an eligible application of a kind set out in column 2 of an item in the Schedule is the fee set out in column 3 of the item. 1991 No. 359 TELECOMMUNICATIONS (APPLICATIONS AND FEES) REGULATIONS - REG 4 Limitation of fees for applications for enrolment as a supplier of public access cordless telecommunications services outside a capital city 4. If a person applies for enrolment under section 227 of the Act as a supplier of a public access cordless telecommunications service that supplies telecommunications services in an area that does not include a capital city, $5,000 is the maximum amount of application fees that may be paid by the person in relation to the supply of those services in areas of that kind. 1991 No. 359 TELECOMMUNICATIONS (APPLICATIONS AND FEES) REGULATIONS - REG 5 Repeal of the Telecommunications (Application Fees) Regulations 5.
