  1.1 The Telecommunications (General) Regulations are amended as set out in
these Regulations.

  2.1 Add at the end:
Design of protected symbol
  "9. For the purposes of the definition of 'protected symbol' in subsection
402a (6) of the Act, the design of the official symbol of AUSTEL is:
                       (SYMBOL OMITTED)".
