Commencement


  1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 August 1986.

Exempt class of persons for purposes of sub-section 84 (6) of the Act


  2. Regulation 5 of the Veterans' Entitlements Regulations is amended-
  (a) by omitting "84 (7)" and substituting "84 (6)"; and
  (b) by omitting "sub-section 84 (6) of the Act" and substituting "that
sub-section".

Travelling expenses under section 110 or 132 of the Act


  3. Regulation 9 of the Veterans' Entitlements Regulations is amended-
  (a) by omitting from sub-regulation (7) "11.16" and substituting "12.28";
  (b) by omitting from sub-regulation (8) "$40" and substituting "$43";
  (c) by omitting from paragraphs (10) (a) and (b) "$5" and substituting
"$5.50"; and
  (d) by omitting from paragraph (10) (c) "$12" and substituting "$13".
