CHARITABLE FUNDRAISING ACT 1991 - SECT 41L
Examination and cross-examination of witnesses
41L Examination and cross-examination of witnesses
(1) A person authorised or required to appear at a public inquiry, or an
Australian legal practitioner or other person allowed to represent a person at
a public inquiry, may, with the leave of the public inquirer, examine or
cross-examine any witness on any matter that the public inquirer considers
relevant.
(2) If an Australian legal practitioner is appointed to assist the
public inquirer at a public inquiry, the Australian legal practitioner may
examine or cross-examine any witness on any matter that the public inquirer
considers relevant.
(3) Any witness examined or cross-examined under this
section has the same protection and is subject to the same liabilities as if
examined by the public inquirer.
