HOUSING ACT 2001 - SECT 67AA
Definitions
67AA Definitions
In this Part:
"assets" means any legal or equitable estate or interest (whether present or
future and whether vested or contingent and whether personal or assignable) in
real or personal property of any description (including money), and includes
securities, choses in action and documents.
"instrument" means an instrument (other than this Act) that creates, modifies
or extinguishes rights or liabilities (or would do so if lodged, filed or
registered in accordance with any law), and includes any judgment, order or
process of a court.
"land" includes:
(a) a legal or equitable estate or interest in the land, or
(b) an easement, right, charge, power or privilege over, or in connection
with, the land.
"liabilities" means any liabilities, debts or obligations (whether present or
future and whether vested or contingent and whether personal or assignable).
"new owner", in relation to land vested by an order under this Part, means the
community housing provider in which the land is vested by the order.
"notice of intent to cancel registration" means a notice issued under section
67F (3).
"notice of non-compliance" means a notice issued under section 67F (2).
"officer" of a registered community housing provider has the same meaning as
the term
"officer" of a corporation has in the Corporations Act 2001 of the
Commonwealth.
"rights" means any rights, powers, privileges or immunities (whether present
or future and whether vested or contingent and whether personal or
assignable).
"vesting date", in relation to land vested in a community housing provider by
an order under this Part, means the date on which the vesting takes effect.
