LIQUOR ACT 2007 - SECT 144U
Remedial action--accumulation of 4-5 demerit points
144U Remedial action--accumulation of 4-5 demerit points
(1) This section applies if, during any 3-year period, at least 4, but not
more than 5, relevant demerit points are in force for a licensee or manager,
or former licensee or manager, of a licensed premises other than
club premises.
(2) If the Authority is satisfied that it is appropriate in
the circumstances, the Authority may do any of the following-- (a) suspend the
licence for the licensed premises for a period of up to 7 days,
(b) impose
any condition on the licence for the licensed premises the Authority considers
necessary to address-- (i) the risk of a demerit offence being committed, or
(ii) the likelihood of a prescribed complaint being made in relation to the
licensee or manager.
