ANIMAL CARE AND PROTECTION ACT 2001 - SECT 139
Failure to comply with help requirement
139 Failure to comply with help requirement
(1) A person of whom a help requirement has been made must comply with the
requirement unless the person has a reasonable excuse. Penalty— Maximum
penalty—100 penalty units.
(2) It is a reasonable excuse for an
individual not to comply with a help requirement if complying with the
requirement might tend to incriminate the person.
(3) However, subsection (2)
does not apply if the requirement is to produce a document required to be held
or kept by the person under— (a) this Act; or
(b) another Act or a law of
the Commonwealth or another State if the document relates to the
transportation of live animals.
