ANIMAL CARE AND PROTECTION ACT 2001 - SECT 164
Failure to comply with personal details requirement
164 Failure to comply with personal details requirement
(1) A person of whom a personal details requirement has been made must comply
with the requirement unless the person has a reasonable excuse. Penalty—
Maximum penalty—50 penalty units.
(2) It is a reasonable excuse if— (a)
the requirement was given because the inspector giving it suspected the person
has committed— (i) an animal welfare offence; or
(ii) another offence
against this Act; and
(b) the person is not proved to have committed the
offence.
