Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) Upon a request signed by the chief executive or an officer of the department authorised in writing by the chief executive in that behalf, the commissioner of the police service or a person delegated by the commissioner for the purpose shall disclose in writing to the chief executive the criminal history (as shown in the commissioner's records) of any person specified in the request to be an applicant to become an adoptive parent or a prospective adopter.
(2) The Crown, a police officer or any other person shall not incur liability, on account of a disclosure of the whole or any part of the criminal history of any person pursuant to the obligation imposed by subsection (1).
