Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) In this section—
health service means a service genuinely provided to a person for the benefit of human health, and includes services specified in the Health Quality and Complaints Commission Act 2006, schedule 1, part 1.
health services provider means—
(a) a registered provider within the meaning of the Health Quality and Complaints Commission Act 2006; or
(b) another person who provides a health service; or
(c) an employee of a person mentioned in paragraph (a) or (b).
(2) A health services provider is entitled to refuse to provide any document or information, or answer any question, in relation to an investigation of, or prosecution for, an offence against this chapter on the ground that it would disclose information gained in providing a health service.
