Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) For the Child Protection Convention, the department is Queensland's central authority.
(2) If the department must or may perform a function or exercise a power under this Act, including under any of the following, the chief executive is responsible for performing the function or exercising the power—
(a) a Queensland measure;
(b) a foreign measure recognised by registration under section 25;
(c) an order of a Queensland court under this Act, other than a Queensland measure.
