Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) A university statute affecting the student association's role or powers may be made only if the council—
(a) has given the student association a copy of the proposed statute at least 28 days before making it; and
(b) has considered any comments given to it by the student association under subsection (2).
(2) The student association may give the council written comments about the proposed university statute within 14 days after receiving the copy.
(3) The council may amend the proposed university statute to take account of any of the comments.
(4) If the council amends the proposed university statute to take account of any of the comments, it does not have to give the student association a copy of the proposed statute before making it.
