Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) The chief executive may establish an SES unit for a local government area if satisfied that the local government area requires an SES unit to perform the functions mentioned in section 87.
(2) Before establishing an SES unit for a local government area, the chief executive must consult with—
(a) the local government for the local government area; and
(b) other entities the chief executive is satisfied represent the interests of the community in the local government area.
