Without prejudice to the reception of any other evidence for the purpose of identifying the particulars of a conviction—
(a) the contents of any document which is admissible as evidence of the conviction; and
(b) the contents of any document which is admissible as evidence of the complaint, information, indictment or charge on which the person in question was convicted;shall be admissible for that purpose where by virtue of section 79 or 80 evidence of the conviction may be given.
