FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE ACT 1990 - SECT 9

9 Appointment of commissioner

(1) The Governor in Council, acting on the recommendation of the Minister, shall appoint a commissioner for the service.

(2) A person who does not have professional experience in fire prevention and firefighting is not eligible for appointment as commissioner.

(4) The commissioner is to be appointed under this Act, and not under the Public Service Act 2008.
