FINANCIAL INTERMEDIARIES ACT 1996 - SECT 139

139 Profit and loss account and balance sheet

The directors of a society must, before the day on which notice of an annual general meeting of the society is given or, if an annual general meeting is not held within the period within which it is required by section 122 to be held, not less than 3 weeks before the end of the period, cause to be prepared—

(a) a profit and loss account for the last financial year giving a true and fair view of the society's profit or loss for that financial year; and
(b) a balance sheet as at the end of the last financial year giving a true and fair view of the society's state of affairs as at the end of that financial year.
