Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) This section applies to an organisation that has been granted an exemption under section 587 if any of the following events happen—
(a) it no longer has a counterpart federal body;
(b) its members are not recorded as members of the counterpart federal body of the organisation for which the exemption was granted in the body's register of members under the Commonwealth (Registered Organisations) Act;
(c) a certificate is issued for the body under the Commonwealth (Registered Organisations) Act, section 270;
(d) it has contravened a relevant Commonwealth provision under section 587 for which the exemption was granted.
(2) The organisation must give the registrar notice of the event as soon as practicable after it becomes aware of the happening of the event.
Maximum penalty—40 penalty units.
(3) The organisation is taken to become aware of the happening of the event if an officer of the organisation becomes aware of it.
