Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) On the making of the order, the person may be detained for not longer than 6 hours (the examination time) in the authorised mental health service for examination by a doctor or authorised mental health practitioner.
(2) In carrying out the examination, the doctor or practitioner must, to the extent that it is reasonable and practicable in the circumstances explain to the person, in general terms, the application of this subdivision to the person.
