Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) As soon as practicable after the person becomes an involuntary patient, an authorised doctor for the authorised mental health service must make an assessment of the patient to decide whether the treatment criteria apply to the patient.
Note—
If, on the assessment, the authorised doctor is satisfied the treatment criteria apply to the person, the doctor may make an involuntary treatment order for the patient, see section 108.
(2) The assessment may be carried out using audiovisual link facilities.
