9 Council's power to be a member of other bodies etc.

(1) The council--

(a) may become and be a member of any body (whether incorporated or unincorporated) that--

(i) has among its objects nurse education, training or research or any matter relating directly to the council's functions; or

(ii) in the council's opinion, is engaged in the advancement of nurse education, training or research or any function of the council; and

(b) may enter into agreements or arrangements with the body.

(2) Subsection (1)(a) does not require a body to admit the council to membership of the body.

(3) The council, or its nominee, may be a member of the governing committee of a body of which it is a member.

(4) This section does not limit the council's powers under section 8.
