PLUMBING AND DRAINAGE ACT 2002 - SECT 29

29 Officers, employees and agents

(1) The chief executive may, by gazette notice, appoint a registrar to the council, and other officers the chief executive considers appropriate, to help the council to perform its functions.

(2) A public service officer may be appointed under subsection (1) or may be assigned by the chief executive to perform duties to help the council, and may hold the appointment or perform the duties concurrently with any other appointment the officer holds in the public service.

(3) The registrar has the powers and must perform the functions of the registrar under this Act.

(4) Without limiting subsection (3), the registrar must ensure minutes of the council's meetings are kept.

(5) The chief executive may, by instrument, employ or engage other appropriately qualified persons to help the council perform its functions.

(6) Subsection (5) does not apply for the appointment of an investigator.
