PETROLEUM (SUBMERGED LANDS) ACT 1982 - SECT 39

A person shall not carry on operations for the recovery of petroleum in the adjacent area except—

(a) under and in accordance with a licence; or

(b) as otherwise permitted by this part.

Maximum penalty—670 penalty units or imprisonment for 5 years.
