POLICE POWERS AND RESPONSIBILITIES ACT 2000 - SECT 629

629 Removal of clothing for search

(1) A police officer conducting a lawful search of a person under this Act may require a person to remove all items of clothing or all items of outer clothing from the upper or lower part of the body.

(2) Subsection (1) does not apply to a frisk search under section 569.
