Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) If a public record is a record of the State or a State instrumentality, ownership of the record vests in the State.
(2) Ownership of public records of another public authority vests in—
(a) if the records are in the authority's possession—the authority; or
(b) in any other case—the State.
(3) In this section—
State instrumentality means a public authority other than a local government.
