Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) The appeals officer may stay a decision appealed against to secure the effectiveness of the appeal.
(2) A stay—
(a) may be given on conditions; and
(b) operates for the period fixed by the appeals officer; and
(c) may be revoked or amended by the appeals officer.
(3) The period of a stay must not extend past the time when the appeals officer decides the appeal.
(4) The starting of an appeal against a decision affects the decision, or the carrying out of the decision, only if the decision is stayed.
