Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) If a person claims to be entitled to receive any money in the unclaimed moneys fund, the public trustee, upon being satisfied that the person has a just claim to receive such money, may pay the same to the person out of the unclaimed moneys fund.
(2) If any moneys so paid to a claimant are afterwards claimed by any other person, the public trustee shall not be responsible for the payment thereof, but such person may have recourse against the claimant to whom the public trustee has paid the moneys.
