Performance monitoring functions
131 Performance monitoring functions
(1) The functions of the information commissioner include reviewing and
reporting on agencies in relation to the operation of this Act and the
Information Privacy Act , chapter 3 , including by— (a) monitoring, auditing
and reporting on agencies’ compliance with this Act and the Information
Privacy Act , chapter 3 ; and
(b) advising the parliamentary committee of the
statistical information (including statistical information about giving access
to information other than on an access application) agencies are to give the
commissioner for reports under this section; and
(c) publishing performance
standards and measures for use in reports under this section.
(2) The
commissioner must, as soon as practicable after finishing a review, give a
report about the outcome of the review to the parliamentary committee.
(3) In
this section—
"agency" includes a Minister.
