175 Direction to act in particular way
(1) A person must not give a direction, either orally or in writing to a
person required or permitted to make a decision under this Act directing the
person to make a decision the person believes is not the decision that should
be made under this Act. Penalty— Maximum penalty—100 penalty units.
(2) Subsection (1) does not apply to the information commissioner or a person
authorised by the commissioner in relation to a direction that may be given to
a member of the staff of the OIC under section 146 .
(3) A person must not
give a direction, either orally or in writing to— (a) a person who is an
employee or officer of the agency involved in a matter under this Act; or
(b)
an employee of a Minister involved in a matter under this Act;
directing the
person to act contrary to the requirements of this Act. Penalty—
Maximum penalty—100 penalty units.
