RIGHT TO INFORMATION ACT 2009 - SECT 99
Better reasons
99 Better reasons
(1) This section applies if— (a) an application is made for external review
of a decision of an agency or a Minister; and
(b) the information
commissioner considers that the reasons for the decision stated in the
prescribed written notice for the decision are not adequate.
(2) The
commissioner may require the agency or Minister to give the applicant for
external review and the commissioner an additional statement, as soon as
practicable, but in any case within 20 business days, containing further and
better particulars of the reasons for the decision.
